Military Payment Certificates, also known as MPC’s, were a form of currency used to pay American military personnel in foreign countries during World War II through the end of the United State’s participation in the Vietnam War (1946-1973). While fifteen different series were created, only thirteen were issued, with the other two being mostly destroyed, though examples still remain.
